Safababy Sleeper
The Safababy has been designed in accordance with the experts advice in keeping your baby in the feet to foot position which is believed to reduce the risk of cot death otherwise known as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or SIDS. The Feet-to-Foot position is the recommended sleeping position by midwives for babies. However there is a risk of baby wriggling free from the foot of the cot and becoming cold so the Safababy Sleeper has been designed to prevent this from happening. As it is fully adjustable, it can be positioned according to the size of the baby anywhere in the cot or cot-bed, creating a false foot and a snug environment for baby to sleep. The security strap, which fits underneath the mattress, ensures that blankets are held securely

- Suitable from birth.
- Promotes the ‘feet to foot’ sleeping position.
- Ensures your baby does not get too hot or too cold.
- Helps to promote safety and comfort for small babies.
- Designed in line with European Standards for costs BSEN716.
Midwives recommend babies should be placed with their feet near the bottom of the cot and this device enables you to do just that, ensuring the Feet to Foot position. It prevents a baby from wriggling down under the bedclothes. It also enables you to place the baby at the top of the cot, which seems more logical, whilst shortening the length of the cot whilst the baby is still small. Fits between the rails of the cot and can be adjusted as the baby grows. Fits all cots between 45cm and 75cm wide. Birth 7 months.

I have used this item for both of my girls to enable them to sleep feet to foot position in a large cot without having the large gap at the top. It is fantastic and well worth the money and very easy to use.

This did the job however bit fiddly to fit really tight. Obviously you have to take it off everytime you change the cot sheets. However it does the job in terms of reducing the space your baby can move down the cot although we don’t use it now (6.5 months) as our boy is moving all over the cot and quite frankly would probably manage to push it with his strong legs! For what it is and how long we used it I would say it’s quite expensive however not sure there are many other considerations on the market.

The product does divide the cot well so that baby feels more secure. However the product is fiddly to fit, has to be removed when changing sheets, and is not suitable for babies post approximately 6 months. The main problem with this product is that the two white covers on either side of divider fall off and could be easily swallowed by a baby (about size of a 10 pence piece). We have thrown them away.
